Their 29 hectares (approximately 72 acres) of vineyards are planted primarily with Chardonnay grapes. The Kimmeridgian soil, characterized by limestone-rich clay and fossilized oyster shells, imparts a distinctive minerality to their wines.
- Sustainable Practices:
Domaine des Malandesprioritizes sustainable viticulture. Their vineyards are cultivated organically, and they hold certification from the European AB label.
- Meticulous Winemaking:

The 2022 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru, half aged in stainless steel and half in used barrels, has a very enticing bouquet of yellow flowers and wet stone bursting from the glass. The palate is very well-balanced with a slightly waxy texture. The acidity is well-judged, and the finish has just the right amount of tension and mineralité. This delightful Fourchaume should drink well over the next decade, possibly longer.

Once again there is subtle but not invisible wood framing the ripe but cool aromas of apple, pear, white peach and a plenitude of Chablis elements, especially shellfish. There is again excellent volume to the dense and serious yet refined flavors that possess and finest texture in the range while delivering superb length on the balanced finale. Lovely.
